On our bike tour Amsterdam Noord we take the ferry to the north of the city. Amsterdam North has become more attractive and gets more and more inhabitants, It’s a mixture of old industrial complexes and modern living. You find sustainable houses next to renovated old buildings. North is an area full of parcs and old villages that has become part of the big city of Amsterdam. You will encounter many differences in landscape: new restaurants in old factories, quarters with labour houses that became the area for the yuppies, windmills, dikes and parcs.
